Brighten up your winter
If you’re anything like me it’s a bit of a struggle to stay warm, dry and stylish in winter. I’ve got loads of winter coats in my wardrobe but always like to accessorise them to add a bit of individuality. I came across Spring recently which has a huge selection of accessories (you can continuous scroll through the collection for what seems like forever!). So I thought I’d put together some of my favourite winter ones as it got me thinking about what makes a difference to a winter look when you’re wearing a dark coloured coat and want to stand out, even just a little…
Here’s my picks of some simple ways to add a little style to your winter cover-up wardrobe.
Sunglasses often get forgotten in winter, and ok we usually have plenty of gloomy weather to warrant them being pushed to the back of the drawer. But they’re actually a great accessory to make you feel more glamorous despite the weather. These blue mirrored illesteva Leonard Tortoise specs are handmade in Italy and designed in New York.
Ragcuffs are a really practical and look pretty stylish too. They can stop any drafts from travelling up your coat sleeves 🙂 and these Maude camel and ivory one are pure luxury in baby alpaca and silk.
I’m a big lover of scarves in all seasons, and wraps have been a welcome addition to my winter wardrobe this year. I’ve bought at least three and find them a great way to add real warmth either over the top of a coat or a lighter jacket. This Modern Citizen knit wrap in grey is called the Caro.
And because it’s nearly Valentine’s Day I thought I’d add these cute badges from Bing Bang Jewellery to the list. Pin them to your coat and they might get a smile or two.
