Welcome to Cardiff Fashion, and thanks for taking the time to visit my blog.
My name’s Gwyneth and I’ve spent almost 20 years as a writer and PR consultant working with international brands and writing about everything from cyber security to catwalk trends. I studied fashion design and illustration in Sydney and have worked as a lecturer in fashion design and brand development, social media, digital fashion and the digital workplace.
My real passion is collaboration, seeing where people come together to make great things happen. It could be an innovative designer working with a textile expert and finding new ways to create and manipulate fabric, or a fashion tech company offering new ways to make products or new routes to market or manufacture. I love the renewed interest in buying bespoke or unique fashion items that leave a legacy, and the small scale makers doing things their own way, but I also love the high street and how it makes style accessible to everyone.
My blog is all about celebrating the movers, shakers and innovators. The fashion trailblazers and inventors, the ones who really care about making things better but also accessible and fun. Fashion is an extremely exciting place to be right now, and I’m intrigued by where it might also head next.
In my ‘spare’ time I also wrote a book about Fashion Promotion: Basics Fashion Management 02: Fashion Promotion – building a brand through marketing and communication
I’m open to opportunities for collaboration, affiliate links, schemes and sponsored posts, but only when I believe in what I’m writing about and covering.
