Luxury luggage supplier Samsonsite repeated it’s sponsorship of the International Catwalk Competition at Graduate Fashion Week earlier this year. Now the winning designer Chou Yun Ting is seeing her images emblazoned on a limited edition of the Cosmolite range, for the first time.
I love a fashion collaboration story and it’s always great to see a global brand put their money and expertise back into the next generation of designers. Fashion is not just about clothes of course and many well-known designers collaborate with a whole range of product manufacturers. This is a great example of a global brand working with a young designer to create something contemporary that also exposes young talent to another side of the fashion and design industry.
The winner of the Samsonite competition is awarded £1000 plus the opportunity to design a limited edition range of suitcases.
According to the panel – Chou Yun Ting captivated the judges with her innovation, garment craftsmanship, and harmony between shape and body. The result is a very innovative and sophisticated design with straight lines in well-balanced colours.
I particularly love the ’80’s vibe of this very chic collection!
