If you love a leather bag as much as I do, it’s a real treat when you can buy quality leather at a really reasonable price. I’ve loved US brand Fossil ever since a work colleague brought in her first bag from what was the latest collection. It included the iconic metal key and was a soft light tan leather – gorgeous! Retailing at well over £200 it was a bit out of my price range at the time.
Fossil bags still retail at around the same price bracket now, although in some countries they can be more expensive. So, when I discovered the discount store at MacArthur Glen in Sarn, which opened a couple of years ago, it was a very welcome surprise!

The stock is pretty current and Fossil produce a lot of classic shapes so you never feel like you’re buying something out of date or last season.

If you venture into the store on a special discount day you can sometimes pay as little as 30% of the original price of some designs.

The men’s collection is also great, I’ve bought a few of the mens designs as they’re not only really practical but also beautifully designed and made.

The latest collection includes a new release of the popular Explorer design. There are a series of grab bags in colours from black to oxblood as part of the Amanda Satchel range. The bright pink cowhide Preston fuschia clutch and purse are pretty statement making for something special.

There are also great watches with mix and match faces and straps, as well as wallets, tech device covers and jewellery.

It’s a great place for a Christmas gift too as you can buy something a little special at a decent price.  The Bridgend store at MacArthur Glen has recently set up it’s own Instagram feed @fossil_bridgend which is handy to keep an eye on latest stock in store too.
