I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Holly Patterson earlier this year, owner of Rag House Studio,  a fashion photography studio based in Cardiff Bay. Holly is a pretty impressive young women, with an incredibly strong work ethic and a clear vision of what she wants to achieve with her business. I was impressed too with her focus and commitment to providing a high quality photography and editing service, for emerging fashion businesses, as well as one that truly collaborates with its clients.

Raghouse Studio primarily works with smaller brands ranging from new designers to luxury offerings. The studio strapline is “Helping small brands make a big impact” and Holly does as much as she can to offer affordable rates. She also offers a pre-production service and works with brands to help them define their true ethos and brand principles, which are then used to help determine the best approach for creating the imagery.

Raghouse Studio officially opened in January and since then Holly has worked with a range of brands including streetwear, sportswear, luxury accessories and women’s’ knitwear. She also works closely with bloggers to provide social media and website content.

Services range from ghost mannequin and flatlay e-commerce to street style and lookbook imagery . For those brands looking for an all round campaign, she also provides editorial photography and fashion film.  

Holly graduated in 2015 with a First class degree in Fashion Photography and Film from Falmouth University. Whilst studying she took a three week internship at This Morning, working alongside Sophie Kirkwood, Fashion Producer, and the rest of the fashion team. In between her study, Holly would return to Wales during term time, and would regularly appear on S4C as a fashion correspondent for a magazine show ‘Y Lle’.  After leaving University she began working as an assistant designer providing accessory designs and producing trend reports for high street retailers.
